One of Kenny's classmates touched my beard today and said that it "feels good".
I was writing something for the teachers when she came to where I was kneeling on one knee. Climbing up onto the knee that wasn't on the ground, she stood at shoulder height and called out, "Daddy! Daddy!" I'm not sure why some of the kids call me Daddy, but it's certainly stuck.
Then she reached out and stroked my ragged beard. "Kimochi", she said in Japanese. "Feels good!"
